Despite the low kms there were still hills to climb but lots of stops today. We always get a substantial break to get us ready. Water and fruit to take. Our first stop was at the mud baths. I'd worn my togs so was quick to get in. Some lovely poms helped me in as you have no idea where you are putting your feet. Finally sort of fell in. Again the getting out was tricky, but got out covered in mud. Supposed to take 25 years off your life. The places it end up could do with rejuvenation!! You can bake or like me jump in the water then shower. However I still had mud in some interesting places. We then rode to a picnic spot beside a lake and a local family made us gozleme and Turkish teas(like yoghurt) Then on again to some Roman ruins. The amphitheatre was most impressive.  The marshes around eventually meant malaria cleared them out. We walked down to a little ferry boat that took us along the water ways to see the Lycian Rock tombs. Built b4 the Romans but they didn't know th...

While further than yesterday it was a much more scenic ride. So after breakfast we pile into the rubber ducky(so elegantly, the young guys are great, they hold you tight to ensure you get in safely)  I always love the ride and once there we find our bikes, put on our panniers and head off. The roads we ride on are often boarded by flowering oleanders and there are bougainvillea and even Patterson's curse growing. Its very pretty. Up the top of each hill is an amazing view of the blue Mediterranean,  islands and towns. We have lunch at a little seaside village, fresh fish and chips. The Brazilians are so friendly  and inclusive and all speak excellent English. After this break I feel like a snooze, but more bloody hills. The hills certainly out number the downhills!!! By the time we stop at the wishing  tree, a very old plane tree, from 1800, walk around it for luck, I'm ready to call it a day, but oh no, more hills and I only have 1 bar left on my battery. Whiz...

26th May. On the Admiral and then bike ride from Korman to Knidos. 43kms.

I woke early and got up to see where we are motoring. Not a lot to see but I love being on the boat. I've found a lovely spot up top to view the travel from. Not windy and very peaceful. Breaky at 8 and then berthed into Korman. We nearly overshadowed a smaller boat that held Aussies. A couple from Lilydale who leave their boat her, fly over then sail around. They've been doing it for 15 years. Meanwhile we got our bike organised.  They always have our name on them but I always need a seat adjustment.  Took ages for us all to be ready and finally we headed off. Lots of uphill today and we have a number of hardy types with no bikes!!! The downhills seemed to be few and far between. Lovely views along the way and eventually we found our lunch spot by the sea. I decided to swim, soooo much effort when wet etc. And rocky. I managed and it was delightfully cool. After lunch I had to change again, really not worth the effort!!!  15kms to go and finally into the harbour of...
