Wednesday 11th June.2025. Jura to Loch Spleve.
Early start this morning and after breaky we started cycling the island of Jura. A fairly bare island and nothing much grows other than those foxglove. I think they should be the national flower as we haven't seen a single thistle. A lovely ride in reasonable weather, no rain. Great scenery again an lovely riding through the fields of Scotland. Road was very rough in parts and you had to watch out for big pot holes.
Got to a lovely gin Distillery called Lussa. Ran by 3 women who followed their husbands over here and with not much to do on the island of Jura with only 200 people , they decided to make gin and have become very successful. Their bramberry gin was very drinkable so bought a little bottle as we can't get it in Oz.
We then road a short distance to the shore and got on the tender which then took us to our boat. A bit choppy sailing to our Loch, so I went down and slept. Came up to see us coming into the Loch. No internet tonight so I've hot spotted. So hope it comes through. Dinner on board and no getting off the boat tonight.
Ah lived through that internet issue on the last trip. But you've done a great job hot spotting. Teh trip sounds amazing. A "lovely" 2 C this morning!
ReplyDeleteAll going well Smith. I’ve been looking at your location on a map and it makes me want to go back to Scotland and see some of the places I’ve missed.
