Saturday 7th June 2025. Delaware and then Columbus airport.
A reasonably leisurely start with 2 children in the house. Actually they were very quiet. I'd packed the night before so finally had a shower and dressed in my clean travel gear. Bit warm for Ohio but am expecting cooler weather in Scotland. Heather made her delicious meat gravy to go over the biscuits freshly baked. These come out of a tube and are delicious. Surely we have these in Oz. It's so funny the difference in eating styles. They all only use a fork, meanwhile I'm being posh with a knife and fork!!!
The whole family were there for breakfast and I had a lovely time nursing Emma. I'll miss them all and the children grow up so quickly. Hugs all around and then Paula took me to the airport. Plenty of time but no lounge so paid again to go in to a general lounge. Had my last lot of mac and cheese.
Short flight to Toronto and long lines to just transit. And no restrooms in sight!!!! Finally through, then a queue for the loos. Cleaner took sympathy on me and let me into the disabled loo, whew!!!! Not enough time to go to the lounge and soon on the Air Canada flight. Lovely pod, good food and I quickly went to bed. All to soon we were landing. Only a 6 hour flight. I'm now at Edinburgh airport and quickly thru here but the place is like a big warehouse. Ages to wait for my pick up this afternoon at 4pm for Oban to start my bike and boat, so may take the bus into town for a wander.
