Monday 6th May. Kingwood Center Gardens.
After breakfast around the pond, Paula and I headed to this house with gardens. And because it was the first Monday in May it was free!! So this is the historic garden estate of Charles King, a wealthy industrialist who made his fortune in the Ohio Brass Co. While he married twice he had no children so left it all to the state. 46 acres of beautiful gardens and a lovely old home.
Paula and I had a lovely time walking the many gardens and checking out the 3 story house. A delicious toasted cheese sandwich and a hot chocolate. We drove home in rain and we watched the last 4 episodes of the latest Shetland with the new DI. Very exciting.
An early start tomorrow as we head to the rock and roll hall of fame in Cincinnati.

How lovely & so generous of Mr King! Should l start watching Shetland?
