Sunday 14th May. Vela Luka.
Happy Mothers day to all. And my boys were very good and sent me best wishes. No news but still!! Well it rained all night, but cosy in my room after playing some bridge. The staff are so upset that the weather is bad but really still amazing to me. Another delicious breaky that I could enjoy as we were still. Then after breaky we took off motoring to here. Fairly calm to begin with so I stayed up the front with the Belgium's and even saw some dolphins. As it git a bit rougher I adjourned to my room. Works for me as I snooze. It got very rough but I was fine.
Finally into port after 3 hours and watched them rope off. A delicious lunch, soup, chicken and cheese cake for dessert. Then time to ride it off. So hilly but the ebike makes all the difference
Lots of olive and fig trees, vines and vege cultivation and the beautiful red poppies. I have a theory that the red poppies only grow where there have been wars!!! We stopped at Blato and had a hot chocolate. Rutts, it was the thick European chocolate that I ate with a spoon!!! Remember Italy!!! Very windy riding but home again safely. I've just had a shower and ready for a walk to check out souvenir shops!!!
Love the first photo of you. One for the Pool Room.
ReplyDeletePity about the weather and good news re the E-bikes. Andrew loves his e mountain bike. Unfortunately broke his big toe riding a few weeks ago and it's still sore.
I had a lovely Mother's Day morning tea with the family at Sarah's.
The last of the stunning autumn days today, then it's downhill.
You’re taking some lovely photos Smith. Picturing you riding up that mountain behind the town. You’d need more than en e-bike for that! Love the poppies.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had the e bike.Again great scenery!
