Veessen.Day 29. May 7th.

Up bright and early to sail out of Kampen to Veessen along the Ijseel River, heading south. Mark reversed out beautifully and the river was as smooth as a mill pond and the sun was shining. I was able to sit up the front again and wave to the many barges passing, and the many fishermen.

Was interesting to see a few caravan parks along the way too. Unfortunately  it got colder and the sun disappeared.  I wrapped a rug around me and Deb brought me a lovely hot chocolate but eventually it got too cold and I headed into the wheelhouse.

Finally into Veessen where the harbormaster directed us in. A very little town of about 600 people. So it didn't  take us long to walk around and see the sights. A cute little coffee shop, general store was open so we got coffee and hot chocolate.  Then back onto Melba for Rummikub,  dinner and then a movie about the Dutch resistance  in WW2.

Up early tomorrow  as we head to Deventer my last stop as I will go by train from there on Friday.
