Poros.Greece. Day 34. May 12th
Great nights sleep and woke when the engine on the boat started. Couldn't wait to get up to see us head out. Great group of people and I move around to sit with other people for breaky. Muesli, yogurt and fruit and lots of cuppa teas. Tina our tour guide explains what we are doing in great detail. We keep sailing and eventually get to Russian Bay where 2 of us go for a swim. Beautiful in and I swam to shore.
It was a Russian base many years ago. And now a ruin. I got out and had a hot shower and tidied up. We then sailed into Poros. Beautiful little Greek port. Walked around and climbed to the clock tower.
Bought some souvenirs and then in for lunch. 3 courses again. Salad, stuffed tomato and an icecream for dessert.
Check out my cabin. Sorry a bit out of order as wifi is a bit tricky. Hopefully some pics of the view from the clock tower.
Finally found some wifi. Really hard to connect in port, so it's the next day here now.
So we did our bike ride and boy again very grateful for the bike. Makes a huge difference.
And the views. Again beautiful views, blue seas and wild flowers everywhere, esp the re poppies. We did about 20 km and came back to our boat. We actually rode down to Russian bay where I had swum into and I got wifi which meant I finally got my happy mother's day wishes from Jonathan and Tim.
Went out with a group from the boat from Indiana, all obstetricians, ders etc. Delightful and I had cod, beetroot and lots of red wine. Bed earlier as weary so more bridge tomorrow night.
