Sneek, the Netherlands. Day 20. 28th April.
Lovely sleep in after a delightful night's sleep. Love my little cabin and own ensuite.
Up for breaky then off for a walk around Sneek, pronounced snake. Beautiful old town and canals everywhere. A very old town that used to have a wall and moat around it. Now only one waterport left.
Wandered over to a restaurant for a coffee but decided on lunch. Only customers and it was a Texan steak house with mementos of Route 66, Texas, cowboys, Monument valley etc. Great food.
Walked back and Deb and I checked out the local museum. Lots of silverware and many, many boats.
Back on Melba and suddenly a huge river boat came down to moor near us, the Avalon Visionary. Wow.
Deb and I have just wandered down to check it out. Finally stopped raining, sun out and no wind. Lovely checking out very quiet Sneek.

Beautiful town by the looks. Gorgeous reflections in the canals.
