Savannah and onto Americus. Day 4. 12 April.

We moved out of our delightful Airbnb today after breaky on the porch watching the rain pour down. The homes opposite were built recently and were being sold for around $800,000. I just love the variety of architecture in Savannah.
Off for our food tour. We drove to the pick up place and with 6 other ladies started our tour. Driving around with our guide we got another perspective of Savannah. A highlight was Paula Dean and sons restaurant. Very nice food, especially  the battered pork chop. Good southern fried cooking with lots of butter.
We walked back through Greens square....one we hadn't  seen!!!

We then continued out of Savannah into the suburbs. Still so pretty. Pulled pork and fried green tomatoes and then to a cookie place.

Finally a candy place for famous chocolates and fudge.
We returned to base and our guide gave us added info about movies etc as lots are made in Georgia due to tax concessions.
Then we headed off in the car for our 4 hour drive to Americus , a little town NW of Savannah. Very green, wet countryside and our Airbnb here is very different. A little condo with lots of room. We've been to the grocery store to get some fruit and supplies. Another great day.
