Athens Georgia. Day 7. 15th April.
Up bright and early for breaky. Bacon, scrambled eggs, grits, biscuits and gravy!! And fruit, thank goodness. A bright blue sky today after the winter d and rain of yesterday, but much cooler. We even had a tornado watch yesterday.
Meetings today where we discuss COST issues. Then us receiving sites get together and discuss concerns, so that me, Australia, NZ, Netherlands, Cologne , Mexico, Spain, Ireland and Sth Africa. Conference next year will be in Spain.
Lots of yummy food. Went for a bike ride this afternoon but it's very hilly here so hard work.
Time to go to dinner at a downtown restaurant. Very nice, lots of legumes.....not my favorite. Then Bobbi took myself and Lynda from NZ to Walmart for a little shop.
And just to let you know the bulldog is the uni team's mascot. C'mon the dawgs!!!
Above are the sorority and fraternity homes we past on the way to the restaurant. They are everywhere and are beautiful old homes. This is where the students live.

Well despite the hills the bike photo shows a happy camper. Glad you found a helmet.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous weather here. 31 yesterday and today they expect 29 with fingers crossed showers later. The currawongs are singing non stop outside. Not sure what their issue is, but there must be a currawong conference nearby, there are so many?
