Day 18. Island of Ischia and San Angelo.

Long voyage ftom the Isle of Capri to the Island of Ischia, and fairly rough, windy and cold. I stayed outside the whole time in my jacket, fighting off sea sickness. Hung in there and  came into port. Poor Captain had to reverse in and with us watching as well as the fkash boats either side he was a bit stressed. All good tho and safely in. Nice to walk on solid ground for a bit then back for dinner. Prawn pasta, followed by octopus, fruit then icecream with lemoncello poured over. Very nice. And we get fresh bread every meal. Really a great trip and very well looked after.
Another great sleep, up for breaky then off on the bikes again. Our boat would join us at San Angelo. Up and down hills to a beautiful garden, prelared by Sir William Walton and his wife. Reminded my of the Bouchard gardens in Canada. Walton composed music for shows, such as Richard 3,directed by Lawrence Olivier. The gardens are very tropicla and beautiful. I loved every tap having something different to turn it,eg a frog, a bird, etc.
On again, up and down with more beautiful views and a stop for lunch by the beach. Had a pizza marinara which is basically a margharita one without the mozzarella cheese.. beautiful, so much garlic and quite light. On again to San Angel which has a beach on one side and the port on the other. While we waited for our boat to arrive we had a swim at the beach. You can float so easily and see to the bottom and cool. Lovely. Boat arrived, a shower, walk through the town and a gelati. Yum. Our last day of riding today and while weary Im also a bit sad. I just love it. Its a wonderful way to travel and see the place. Im definietly going to do another one.
