Day13. Winslow and Holbrook, Arizona.ou
Everything ok at our Airb&b and off on the road again by 8.30. The trip back to the main road was totally different to last nights experience in the huge downpour. We could enjoy the scenery and not swear at one another!! Route 66 weaves on and off again so a good bit of interstate hwy travel today and with the roof down we barreled along, it even got a bit cool. Stopped at at Walnut canyon to check out the old Indian houses built long ago under the cliff hangings. Then Winslow where there is a special park for the group the Eagles who sing about, waiting on the corner of Winslow Arizona. Then we went to another Harvey station called the Posada, wow again a beautiful structure that has been done up and preserved and doing a roaring trade in little old Winslow.
Onto Holbrook where we were booked into a wigwam. Gorgeous old cars made for you to park between and inside was cool, compact but very comfy. Its of course made of concrete. Brian fancied Italian so off for pasta, a nice red wine and cuppa as the monsoon went around us.
Because there are no facilities for making tea we think we will have breaky at Joe and Aggies.
