Day 9. 4 corners and Bluff, Utah.

Up early to see the sunrise over Monument Valley, just from our little verandah. Wow again.Leisurely breaky then on the road with the roof down again. Again the scenery changes so much from huge escapments to rocks, big and small, flat then green with the San Juan river. 4 corners is where the 4 states of Arizonaa, Utah

h, Colarado and New Mexico meet. On to Bluff and we waited for our room but very comfy eating our lunch on the verandah. Our room is again very comfy with a n Indian flavour. Off to visit the fort and the lovely Mormon volunteers showwed us around. Incredible wagon ride over gorges and rocks over a 130 years ago. Boy they travelled rough. Lots of history, then onto dinner at the Cottonwood steak house where I indulged in a margharita. Tomorrow onto Mexican hatwhere we stay in a yurt.

  1. Your photos of monument valley are bringing back fantastic memories - we were there just on 12 months ago. Stayed 3 days at the only hotel built right in the valley.... very special listening the Navajo people talk about what the area means to them.

  2. Those rocks must be breathtakingly beautiful up close. They are pretty impressive in photos. Are you taking all your photos with your phone?

  3. All sounds soooooo interesting. Like the photo of the Rocks Trading Post. Impressed with your walk around The Rim. Brian eating "a cow!" Perhaps he needed to walk around the rim. K x
