Day 23.Miami(miama) Kansas, briefly and Carthage, Missouri.
Again we went through lots of little towns again today and they are quite forgetable unless we stop to see something.
We did get a nice breaky at our motel last night so waffles set us up for our trip today. The last few day, so in country Oklahoma and of course today as well, the main sights along the way are the many and varied churches, first united methos, Gutschurch, and the list goes on. Every little town has at least 3 active churches. And the banks, again every variety, from the Happy bank, to credit unions and everything in between. Incredible.
We stopped at Miami, pronounced Miama to visit the place where they make these huge RVs. These are huge buses, that you dont need a special license to drive, so I could drive one. And they are worth around 2 million dollars!! They slide out, everything is done via a tablet. Nothing like my little camper!!!
On through more towns as Route66 briefly touched through Kansas and now into Missouri. The weather is getting a little cooler and lovely countyside.
Our motel tonight is very like the Blue Swallow. Old Route 66 motel, with radio playing 60s music as we walked in. Lovely but again wifi is iffy so hopefully I can get the photos up.
Tomorrow we continue and stay in Cuba, Missouri for 2 nights then onto St Louis again for 2 nights. Brian has a tour there and I have a bike ride.
Bet you are looking forward to getting on a bike again.
