Day 22. Edmond, Tulsa and Catoosa, Oklahoma.
Left our delightful apartment in overcast weather, but still very hot so no roof down. Again through lots of little towns on very well marked Route 66. Edmond had an amazing statue of an American Indian, Touch the Cloud. On through lovely rolling hills, green fields and grazing cattle. We sort of went around the edges of Tulsa, which suits me as I hate the highways. We stopped for lunch at the Arkansas river and a special monument to Cyrus Avery who came up with the idea of linking the east to the west through the Route 66, so hes the father of the mother road!
We had to stop at a blue whale, honestly the try any gimmick on Route 66. This was at Catoosa, then onto Claremore to stay at our Super8 motel.
For dinner we went to the RibCrib, and I had a very big potato and Brian had brisket, pork and chicken, all smoked.
Sorry no photos tonight as my phone, where the photos are doesnt like an open wifi so I'll send them tomorrow night when in Carthage, Missouri. We pass briefly through Kansas tomorrow too.

This really is the trip of a lifetime. You're going to have lots of great memories. Weather here is cold and wet again, though it was OK earlier in the day. I've bought a new camera, so Los of frustration trying to learn it's strange ways.
